ESG principles shape our business strategy

Sustainable development is a key element of our business strategy. We developed an ESG Strategy for 2022-2026, identifying areas where we can implement specific actions such as reducing CO₂ emissions, supporting gender equality, improving urban quality of life, and addressing geographical exclusion. The strategy is based on three pillars, guiding our actions in the areas of environment, society, and economy.

Our path to decarbonization

In 2022, we took significant steps in building our Decarbonization Strategy. Thanks to our business model, which contributes to significant emission reductions in Scope 3 and improvements aimed at sustainable development, we have set ourselves ambitious goals, including achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040.

Close to home
and on the way

Choosing delivery via Paczkomat® reduces the negative impact of transport on the environment. Increasing the number of available devices helps reduce CO2 emissions because it enables more efficient deliveries and reduces the need for short-distance transport.

With more Paczkomat® devices and their locations (on average, 7 minutes from home for 64% of the population and 90% of city residents), you can pick up your packages while on the way to other daily destinations such as work, shops, or during a walk or bike ride. This way, we reduce the emissions from driving to pick up packages.

The Last Mile

The 'last mile' is the final stage of delivering a package to a Paczkomat® or home. This is a crucial stage of delivery, with the greatest impact on CO₂ emissions per package.

Delivery to Paczkomat® is more optimized in terms of the route than home delivery because it is not subject to unpredictable factors like traffic jams, roadworks, or changes in location or delivery time. This optimized route allows us to deliver more packages per day, which reduces CO₂ emissions per package compared to home delivery.

Don’t pack air

Choose packaging that is only slightly larger than the item being sent. This will help us carry more packages during one trip and reduce CO2 emissions. Properly sized packaging allows us to transport more packages in a single trip, reducing fuel consumption and lowering our carbon footprint..
