Development of InPost's Parcel Machine® network in Ukraine
10 March 2015
InPost - the global leader in the area of delivery automation for e-commerce and owner of the world's largest network of Parcel Machines® - is expanding its network of innovative terminals in Ukraine. The machines will be placed in sixteen new locations across Kyiv. Thus, the network of Paczkomaty® InPost machines available in the Ukrainian capital will expand to 40 machines. According to data collected by InPost, the number of parcels delivered by Paczkomaty® in 2014 increased by as much as 1,400%. In Ukraine, Paczkomaty® InPost cooperates with Avon and Oriflame, among others, and is deployed in NOVUS, Billa, Silpo, Wielka Kiszenia supermarket chains.
The potential of the Ukrainian e-commerce market - which can be worth up to $1 billion - offers great prospects for the development of innovative Parcel Machines® InPost in the country. A strong operational advantage of Integer.pl Group - the owner of the revolutionary terminals - in the expansion in Ukraine is the excellent knowledge of the local market, developed trade and business contacts and the representation of Integer.pl.ua.
"Despite the difficult political situation prevailing in Ukraine, the country's e-commerce market continues to grow rapidly. We are extremely pleased with the growth in parcel volumes handled by our terminals, which increased by as much as 1,400% in 2014. We see the growing potential of e-commerce, while at the same time recognising the demand for alternative services to the existing traditional courier or postal deliveries caused by the hindered turnover of goods. This is why Paczkomaty® InPost is growing in popularity and we expect that, as our network of devices expands in the country, its share of the logistics market dedicated to the e-commerce sector will increase." - says Waldemar Brzoska, CEO of Integer UA and InPost UA.
In April 2015, InPost will also participate in the iForum conference, which is the largest event dedicated to the e-commerce industry in Ukraine. During the event, the company will present its latest developments and plans, regarding the development of its services in the country.
Paczkomaty® InPost already operate on 5 continents, including countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Poland, Ireland, Iceland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Colombia, Canada, Australia, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia. There are - in various business models - around 4,000 Paczkomat® InPosts operating worldwide. The company plans to install a further 6,000 terminals across Europe, Asia, the Americas, as well as in the Middle East and Africa.
The highest quality of Integer.pl Group's services is confirmed by awards: for the third time, Polish Internet users have honoured InPost with the Ekomersy award in the 'Best product/service supporting e-commerce logistics' category.
