40% of online shoppers want to pick up groceries from InPost parcel machines

New e-commerce trend increasingly popular
According to a survey by Kantar TNS*, as many as 40% of online shoppers want to collect their groceries from Paczkomat® InPost. The innovative machines in the form of "Lódkomat" may soon be available throughout Poland. The driving force behind the development of the network of machines may be a noticeable change in consumer habits resulting, among other things, from the current ban on Sunday trading. Convenience, understood as the availability of a service around the clock and not having to travel to a stationary shop, motivates 75% and 72% of online shoppers** respectively to buy.
"Picking up groceries at InPost Fridge Machines is definitely the next step in our development. We have developed and tested a system to complement our machines with functionality for the collection of food, beverages and frozen food - we have already been running such pilot programmes since 2018. Technically, we are therefore fully ready. What is key now is the rapid development of the e-commerce offering for food products - although the growth rate of this segment is high, more scale is still needed. We therefore highly encourage our partners to invest in online sales - which, in the context of trade-free Sundays, seems to be an excellent option for consumers." - Rafał Brzoska, CEO of InPost, said.
