26 January 2016
The year 2015 was a record year in terms of the number of parcels sent via Paczkomat® InPost - it increased by as much as 86% year-on-year. Traditionally, the highest volume of parcels was recorded in December. Last year, nearly 4.6 million Poles used the self-service terminals of InPost - of which more than 2 million did so for the first time, and the average user of the innovative terminals ordered 3.7 parcels - on the busiest day, as many as 145,787 parcels were delivered. The number of parcels sent using the innovative machines in Poland is steadily increasing - by an average of 10% every month.
"The year 2015 was full of hard work on the development of the Paczkomat® InPost business. We constantly focus on ensuring the smooth circulation of parcels - that is why we systematically expanded the network of our innovative terminals in Poland. Last year alone, we launched as many as 800 new machines, and by the end of 2016, the number of devices will be increased to 2,600. We have made sure that every Paczkomat® InPost is equipped with a card reader - most of them also allow contactless payments. We have also implemented advanced tools related to the development of multi-channel deliveries - they enable flexible redirection of parcels. Thanks to them, our customers - at each stage of order processing - can change the form of parcel delivery by choosing one of the three available delivery options: Paczkomomat® InPost, POK or courier ” - comments Rafał Brzoska, CEO of Integer.pl Group.
