InPost: 125 million euros in funding from KKR

Additional funding from KKR - one of the leading investment companies, with the support of our shareholder Advent International is an excellent foundation for the further development of InPost. Advent has already announced a plan to invest PLN 250 million in our parcel infrastructure and courier service development. The agreement with KKR will strengthen our projects and ensure that we can offer an even bigger and better standard of service to our customers ", said Rafał Brzoska, CEO of InPost.

The agreement with KKR marks another major step in InPost's development and will support the company's investment plans. InPost had already delivered 40 million parcels by the end of July 2018, breaking another record. This is the perfect time for the company to continue investing in infrastructure and innovative technological solutions - thereby increasing its customer base. w," highlighted Nick Rose, managing director of Advent International.

Advent International and InPost said to invest up to £250m in 2018 in parcel infrastructure and the development of courier services. By the end of the year, the company wants to have 4500 Parcel Machines Poland. Between January and August 2018, InPost delivered more than 46 million parcels, an increase of 48% year-on-year - of which Paczkomaty® recorded an increase of 47%, while courier InPost by 50%.

According to the Gemius E-commerce in Poland 2018 report:

  • InPost parcel machines are the second most popular form of delivery for online purchases, after courier deliveries, indicated by as many as 48% of respondents
  • InPost Kurier maintained last year's third place among the most popular courier companies in Poland. It overtook, among others, Pocztex (Poczta Polska) and global giants such as GLS, UPS and FedEx. InPost's courier services recorded a 4 percentage point increase in indications compared to 2017, which is quite an achievement in such a competitive market
  • The percentage of people who are motivated to buy thanks to Parcel Machines® among the forms of delivery is also increasing - it is now 55% (up 5 percentage points year-on-year).

In 2017, InPost realised:

  • 60 million packets
  • 51% increase in volume of shipments to InPost Parcel Machines® year-on-year
  • 55% increase in volume of InPost courier parcels and mini parcels year-on-year
  • During the Christmas peak, increases in Parcel Machine® delivery volumes were 67% and courier deliveries a record 94.5%, totalling 10 million units.
