InPost delivered more than 2.8 million courier deliveries in Q1 2016

 

Just 10 months after its launch, InPost's courier service is already breaking popularity records. In the first quarter of 2016 alone, more than 2.8 million parcels were sent using it, and nearly 6 million parcels have been delivered in the entire short history of InPost Courier. Courier deliveries InPost can be sent at Customer Service Points, in one of 1800 InPost Parcel Machines (Paczkomat® InPost) or by ordering a pick-up service directly from home. The price of parcels for individual customers starts at PLN 13.5.

"We are delighted that customers have responded so positively to our courier offer. We launched it only in June last year and since then we have been recording monthly increases of several tens of per cent. Importantly, as early as March we broke through the December Christmas parcel peak and handled over 1.15 million courier shipments. Since January, which is the weakest month for trade due to the drop in purchases in the post-Christmas period, the number of parcels handled has been growing dynamically again." - Sebastian Anioł, CEO of InPost S.A., said.

Until the end of March, courier services were primarily aimed at mass e-commerce senders. However, since the beginning of April, InPost has enabled courier shipments to be sent to individual customers as well. "We expect the opening of this service to individual customers to accelerate the growth rate of volumes handled. For us, it is a source of pride that customers appreciate not only the quality of our service with their orders, but also the fact that we are the only one on the Polish market to be able to offer, among other things, the possibility of redirecting a courier parcel to a parcel machine when, for fortuitous reasons, we cannot collect the parcel from the courier in person". - underlines Sebastian Anioł.

The operator's offer is also complemented by a wide range of modern solutions, including those dedicated to the courier sector: Dynamic Parcel Redirection and posting Allegro parcels in Paczkomaty® InPost. This is a free option, thanks to which the customer can collect their order in a designated Paczkomaty® InPost or at a selected Customer Service Point. The service is a convenience created for e-entrepreneurs processing a small daily number of orders, who want to adjust the parcel delivery date to their work timeframe. On the other hand, the option of sending parcels from Allegro in Paczkomaty® InPost allows to send courier parcels at any time using one of more than 1800 conveniently located Paczkomaty® InPost machines in Poland. The solution allows for fast and efficient order processing without waiting for the parcels to be collected by an InPost employee.

Customer Service Points

InPost is also expanding its infrastructure Customer Service Points throughout Poland. The Network Development Division was set up specifically for this purpose, with the task of adapting the POK network for services dedicated to e-commerce. Thanks to the measures taken, it will be even better adapted to the sending of letters, courier and parcel post.
