InPost Group: large increases in all key indicators
16 November 2015
In line with the strategic assumptions that InPost presented before its stock exchange debut, the Company focused, among other things, on continuously strengthening its position in the e-commerce area. Revenue from parcel services in this sector amounted to PLN 62.1 million, an increase of 281 per cent compared to the same period in 2014. The biggest contributor to such a good result is the cooperation with Allegro, established at the end of 2014, under which InPost handled more than 3.5 million parcels in three quarters. In addition, a service aimed at online shop users "E-commerce InPost recommended" was launched from the third quarter.
The courier business, which has been expanding since June 2015, is also growing very rapidly. By the end of September couriers InPost have delivered nearly 900,000 parcels and this number is growing by several dozen per cent month on month. From November, InPost couriers will also be delivering parcels for Allegro users, which will affect the volume dynamics in the following quarters.
- We are satisfied with the results of the three quarters, as we recorded increases in all major product groups, both on the revenue side and on the volumes handled. This translated into operating profit, which reached PLN 14.5 million and is 12 per cent higher than last year. The results achieved show that we are successfully implementing our development strategy - comments Sebastian Anioł, CEO of InPost S.A..
In October, another service announced in the Company's development strategy was launched. This is the InPost Cross Border international delivery system. The offer of international deliveries includes 'door-to-door' courier services to 15 European countries and delivery to Paczkomaty® InPost machines in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
