InPost Mobile app will open a Parcel Machine

InPost will soon allow parcels to be posted exclusively via the app.

InPost - the leader in modern logistics in Poland - is launching an innovative solution that allows you to manage Paczkomaty® and your box from the application[1]. From now on, many people will be able to receive parcels at one Paczkomat® at the same time. The GO MOBILE! strategy is another step in the reorientation of the logistics industry towards mobility. InPost will also soon make it possible to send parcels using an app installed on a smartphone.

"Picking up parcels at a Parcel Machine usually takes a few tens of seconds. However, we decided to speed up the process even further and implement the GO MOBILE strategy! From now on, when approaching a Parcel Machine, we can choose to InPost application and - on the run - open their box so that the operation is limited to removing the parcel from the device. The new version of the mobile application that is being introduced now practically becomes the centre of parcel management and will allow the Parcel Machine to be opened without any additional codes. This is the most revolutionary change in parcel management since the first Parcel Machine was erected in 2009." - underlines Rafał Brzoska, CEO of InPost and points out that this is not the end of the news.

"Soon, the app will also enable fast parcel posting. Ultimately, every parcel operation will be possible via the app. While others are opening new, expensive stationary branches, we are transferring all activities to the mobile app - allowing us to successively increase our technological lead. In our view, technology is the logistics of tomorrow." - he added.

The original app is downloadable exclusively in the App Store and Google Play shops.
Demand for InPost's services is growing systematically - the number of Paczkomaty® (5,000 devices in Poland) has exceeded the scale of Poczta Polska's own outlets (4,600[2]). In October 2019, the company introduced a new service called 'Fast Posting' - without registration, logging and queues, which significantly reduces the time needed to post a parcel. Since October, InPost's retail customers have also benefited from a new, lower price list for parcels in various sizes - which involves up to a 20% reduction, to PLN 12.99 gross.
