InPost offers jobs to Geis employees!
8 August 2019
InPost is signing contracts with customers of the logistics company Geis, which is withdrawing from the courier business in Poland, and offering employment to people who previously worked there. The job offers apply to the whole of Poland - it is possible to be employed as a courier as well as in the company's sorting plants and middle management positions. In total, InPost and its partners want to employ up to 1,000 people.
The volume of parcels handled by InPost is growing twice as fast as the e-commerce market in Poland. The company delivered more than 86 million parcels in 2018, which is 52.5% more than in the previous year. Deliveries via Parcel Machines® increased by 56.3% and via InPost Courier by 45.5%.
"The price battle imposed by the competition in the courier market is very demanding - which shows that only excellent organisation, efficient logistics and modern digital support will survive. We regret that Geis is withdrawing from the market - but we also understand that the laws of business are inexorable. You cannot operate below the limit of profitability. This is why we offer jobs to people previously employed at Geis - whether as couriers, in our sorting plants or at managerial levels. Geis customers are already coming to us - we have finalised a number of contracts and are working to ensure that they continue to receive and timely deliveries as a result of the Geis decision. We are currently the market leader in KEP and want to continue to grow dynamically. We still have considerable space to handle higher volumes of shipments - this year we will launch three new sorting centres in Poland." - Rafał Brzoska, CEO of InPost, said.
Geis has officially announced that it is withdrawing from the courier business in Poland due to a shortage of manpower and low margins in the KEP sector. Applications can be sent to: [email protected].
