InPost supports the Cyber League
21 October 2019
In October, the Polish Internet was taken over by Cyberheroes - Captain Antyvir and Lady Antyspam. Their struggle with PhishingMan and RansomWoman is part of the educational campaign "CyberLiga", which familiarises Polish Internet users with online threats. The campaign was prepared by the NASK research institute as part of the European Cyber Security Month (ECSM) celebrations. InPost is one of its Partners.
The educational campaign is not only aimed at young people, but all fans of pop culture. The cyberheroes Captain AntiVir and Lady AntiSpam will be up against the villains PhishingMan and RansomWoman. Why these characters?
- From our observations, phishing and ransomware are the most common threats on the Internet. Despite this, many users still do not understand how to protect themselves against them. That is why we want to raise awareness of these threats - says Przemek Jaroszewski, head of CERT Polska.
Information about the project can be found on social media (#CyberLiga) and at www.BezpiecznyMiesiac.pl . InPost will also ensure that the news about the Cyber League heroes reaches as many Internet users as possible. You will find information about the project in our social media and on the screens of the Parcel Machines ® .
The whole project has been developed as part of European Cyber Security Month (ECSM), a pan-European campaign organised by the European Cyber Security Agency - ENISA - on the initiative of the European Commission. Throughout October, events are organised in all member states to raise awareness of online security and modern technologies. The campaign in Poland is coordinated for the seventh time by NASK PIB.
