Did you know that InPost parcel machines are a 100% Polish product? The first one was created in 2009 in Zabierzów near Kraków, where the production facility is still located. A team of more than 120 people is involved in the entire process of creating the machines - designers, R&D workers, CNC machine operators, engineers, fitters, electricians and painters. The creation of a Parcel Machine - from the creation of the design and construction to the fastening of the last screw - is a very complex process, especially as high expectations are placed on all types of machines - they must be easily serviceable, simple to operate and, above all, reliable. The parcel machines are exported to many countries around the world, so attention to the highest quality of their workmanship is a top priority here.

Assembly team
The Production Worker in the Assembly Team should have a technical background, as his/her tasks will include the assembly of the Parcel Machine and its individual components (boxes, wiring, doors, control units, etc.). Of course, any experience in such a position is very welcome, but not necessary - all the necessary skills can already be acquired on the job. As with many jobs, conscientiousness and accuracy count, although here it is particularly important. The individual assemblies of the machines must be assembled with particular conscientiousness so that they do not deteriorate or break down and can thus serve customers for a long time.
The assembler's role is also to verify machine parts and check their quality - checking that the part or sub-assembly has definitely been manufactured to accepted standards and, if defects are noticed, reporting them immediately to the supervisor.
Elektromontaż team - production worker Krakow
The job of an electrician involves assembling the electronic components of the Parcel Machine, but the post holder may also be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the machines from an electrotechnical point of view.
For this work, an SEP licence and directional education are required in order to be able to work seamlessly with technical documentation and electrotechnical diagrams. The fault-free operation of the machines and the safety of people using the Parcel Machines, both on the shop floor and in the field, depends on the experience of the production staff in the Electromechanical Team.
Powder coating plant team
This job, although it seems simple, requires special skills and qualifications from the painter, which can be acquired by attending special courses. The duties of a powder painter include cleaning and preparing the elements of the Parcel Machine for painting, as well as any work to protect them from corrosion. Once they have been painted with hand guns and quality checked (e.g. whether the elements are painted to the right thickness and whether the paint has covered the whole evenly), they are handed over for assembly. The painter is also responsible for proper maintenance of the painting equipment.
The assembly of Parcel Machines takes place around the clock, so candidates who can work a three-shift system are preferred. The Assembly, Eletromanufacturing and Powder Coating teams work on an innovative production floor, and work in Zabierzów is in line with Lean Manufacturing principles. Work in the Production Departments in Kraków is therefore well and efficiently managed, and employees can continually develop and improve their production processes.
