Together we are fighting for a normal life for little Kacper! Help. Together we can do more!

It is so difficult to understand why a serious illness attacks a child. Such a situation happened to one of our employees and colleagues. His son, Kacperek , was born in December 2018. At the age of 3.5 months, the child was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy type I. The disease was incurable until recently. Today, the little boy has the chance to live like other healthy children and even recover, thanks to so-called gene therapy.

Unfortunately Gene therapy is the most expensive drug in the world (costing $2.1 million) and can only be used up to the age of 2 years. However, it is the only effective way, first and foremost, to save Kacper's life and then to cure him, allowing him to function independently.

Without therapy, which must take place by the age of 2, i.e. by 2020, Kacperek will lose his chance for a normal life! The child will lose the power in his legs, hands, later there will be a loss of the ability to swallow and to breathe independently.

The boy's parents are not giving up and have taken up the fight for therapy, but also the fight against time! It is a difficult but purposeful fight, a fight for the most precious thing - the child's life. Let's help! Together we can do more.

As colleagues from the InPost family, we have already taken action to raise funds for Kacperek's treatment. There was an auction of items donated straight from the heart especially for this purpose, as well as a fair, the proceeds of which went to help Kacperk.
