"Forwarded for placement in Parcel Post" and.... where's the courier?

Rarely - but nevertheless - do situations arise where the status "Forwarded for placement in parcel post" remains on the website for more than a dozen hours. Why? There may be many reasons, and there is no need to worry - it is certainly not the laziness of the courier (whose work we keep track of). Instead, the non-delivery of the parcel may be due to:

  • overcrowded Parcel Machine - g When the courier arrives at the destination machine and a few moments earlier someone has sent a parcel to the parcel machine in question, we have to wait for these to become vacant. In such situations, the courier often returns to the machine in question the same day.
  • weekendu - c and more branches are delivering parcels at weekends and this is the direction we are heading. However, by the time we get to this level across the country, some Parcel Machines will be visited by couriers on Friday evening at the latest (although sometimes even at night).
  • large distance between the target city and the branch - n he courier may not reach any of the destination cities until the next day after picking up the parcel from the branch (he will deal with machines closer to him before then).
  • machine breakdown - r a rare case, but it must be stressed that any high-tech device can refuse to work. Our service motivates such a Parcel Machine by performing a series of caresses on the relevant cables. Before the machine can be repaired, however, our courier has to postpone his visit for another day.

These are merely exceptions to the rule. How things usually look from our side courier ?

You want to have your Parcel as quickly as possible. We know this very well, after all, Parcel Machines were invented precisely so that you don't have to wait. So when the seller hands us the parcel, we start a race against time and our previous records. The parcel sent travels across Poland until it reaches the destination branch. The branch hands over the parcel to the courier, who goes into the field and visits the machines.

Even before the courier leaves the branch, the status of the parcel is changed to "Transferred for placement in Parcel Post". This is information for you - the final straight ahead. You can start looking at your phone in anticipation of the collection code. But you'd better not get your shoes on just yet. This is because our courier calculates the route which will allow him to visit all the Parcel Machines he operates in the fastest way (and there are often more than "a dozen" machines). What's more, the courier can service Parcel Machines located in cities other than the one where the branch is located.

And the packet moves into the machine. Our record? Counted in several minutes. However, things are not always rosy, and believe us, this does not depend on our employees. Traffic does not react to our cars like it does to ambulances. A traffic jam remains a traffic jam. A courier who started from point A at 10am and is due to finish at point Z can take up to twelve hours to reach the latter. If you were not keeping track of the status, the delivery time would probably pass unnoticed. However, one who is already aware of the approaching parcel is .... gets impatient. This is understandable for us.

Remember, however, that at all times, your parcels are in good hands and that the couriers are keeping their finger on the pulse. After all, the safety of your parcels is just as important to us as the delivery date.
