14 May 2017
Collection of the consignment
In accordance with the new Regulations for the provision of the Paczkomaty 24/7 service by InPost Paczkomaty sp. z o.o. which will come into effect on 14 May 2017 - the time for collecting a parcel from a Parcel Machine will be shortened. Parcels placed in Parcel Machines will from now on be waiting for collection for 48 hours and not, as before, for 72 hours.
Why? We have long noticed that the vast majority of you pick up your parcels in no more than 24 hours! Reducing the time for parcel collection to 48 hours will not affect the convenience of using Parcel Machines. Instead, the change will bring a big benefit for everyone - more free boxes for parcels waiting to be placed in the machines! After all, you are picking them up more and more every year - last year we handled as many as 79% more parcels than the previous year.
If you do not collect your parcel from the machine, it will go to the nearest InPost branch, where it will will wait another 3 days for the recipient (and not, as before, 11 days).
Why this change? We are unifying the rules - for the sake of transparency, we have decided to equalise the availment times for parcel and courier deliveries . From mid-May, all parcels delivered by InPost will be subject to the same advisory times.
Extension of time for collection
Both recipients and senders will have the opportunity to Extension of the time period for parcel collection at a Parcel Machine by an additional 48 hours. From 14 May this year, all you need to do is send a special SMS and... you're done! We believe that subsequent deliveries will be equally satisfying for you, and the Paczkomaty InPost service itself will continue to be the most convenient form of delivery.
