Using parcel machines® InPost? Track your parcel even more precisely!
24 February 2015
Among the logistics partners of Polish online shops, Paczkomaty® InPost is the most popular. Statistics presented in a report published by Idealo.pl show that convenient delivery to an automated terminal is offered by more than half (58%) of e-stores1. Courier and postal services offered by other operators are chosen much less frequently.
Tracking of shipments
The expanded tracking option is another improvement, that Integer.pl Group - owner of Paczkomatów® InPost - has developed in recent months. In Q4 2014, all terminals were equipped with payment card readers, and in more than half of them it is possible to make contactless payments. At the same time, the company also focused on the development of a returns service - using the self-service devices, it is possible to return goods to most e-shops without any charge (service Quickzwroty.pl).
Now - in an effort to provide users with an even higher level of comfort and to make the service as transparent as possible - the InPost parcel machines® will enable customers to see the entire route of their parcel accurately including, for example: stopping at the Main Sorting Office, receipt at a particular InPost branch or the "exit of the ordered goods" from the branch again.
Those who send or receive a parcel using the innovative terminal will also receive - in emails - links to track extended versions of the parcel's status.
"We are constantly continuing to develop our devices - so that using them is even more convenient for our customers. Although Paczkomaty® InPost has long been considered one of the most effective solutions on the postal and courier market, we are still planning further improvements to the service. We observe the sector in which we operate and, above all, we listen to and respect the opinions of consumers, thanks to which we know what they care about most. This philosophy means that we not only maintain the trust of the so-called heavy users, but also consistently and rapidly increase the number of new users who are just learning about the advantages of our delivery method." - says Rafał Brzoska, CEO of Integer.pl Group.
Delivery via Paczkomat® InPost is currently enabled by nearly 6,500 e-shops worldwide (including Merlin, MediaMarkt, Saturn, Gandalf.com.pl, Answear.com) and 30,000 sellers offering their products on Allegro. According to Integer.pl Group research, a total of more than 20 million customers have already used Paczkomaty® InPost, and 98% of parcels are ready for collection within 24 hours of posting. As many as 98% of users say they would use the service again, and 97% of them recommend it to friends.
Allegro Courier
In November InPost has reached an agreement with Allegro about strategic cooperation in the delivery of products ordered online. Now, in the shipping options, every e-tailer can add new possibilities: Allegro Paczkomaty® InPost (PLN 7.99) and Allegro Polecony InPost (PLN 3.94). This is the cheapest form of delivery available - for both registered letter and parcel. In each of these options, customers are guaranteed a free return of the purchased goods.
For e-shops, the reasons for choosing delivery by means of Parcel Machines® InPost are the competitive price of delivery and convenience for the customer. As Integer.pl Group statistics show, more than half of parcels are collected from innovative terminals between 5pm and 8pm, and 30% during the weekend. The popularity of using terminals outside the standard working hours of traditional courier companies and service outlets proves the high demand for time-limited solutions. Deloitte analysts point out that e-tailers who do not offer the "click and collect" option, of which Paczkomaty® InPost is the most perfect version, run a significant risk of lack of growth in online sales. Statistics show that 80% of online shoppers are more likely to make a purchase if the e-store offers delivery to a Parcel Machine® InPost2. Limited delivery options, in turn, are a reason for abandonment for nearly ¾ of shoppers (73%) 3.
Paczkomaty® InPost is currently the world's largest network for the self-service sending and receiving of parcels 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, without queues and in a convenient location, thus providing the highest level of logistics service for goods ordered online.
Paczkomaty® InPost already operate on 5 continents, including countries such as the UK, France, Italy, Poland, Ireland, Iceland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Colombia, Canada, Australia, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia. There are - in various business models - around 4,000 Paczkomat® InPosts operating worldwide. The company plans to install a further 6,000 terminals across Europe, Asia, the Americas, as well as in the Middle East and Africa.
The highest quality of Integer.pl Group's services is confirmed by the awards: Polish Internet users honoured InPost with the Ekomersy award in the category "Best product/service supporting e-commerce logistics" for the third time. . The company's innovativeness was recognised, among others, by the WPROST weekly with the title of "Innovator of the Year 2014" and won in the "Leader of Modern Technologies" competition organised by the Institute of New Technologies.
