Integration of InPost with Websystems Pro – faster dispatch and a better shopping experience
For business E-commerce
9 July 2026
For the buyer, the first point of contact with the delivery process is not the address form, but the map of collection points in the shopping basket. The integration of InPost with Websystems Pro embeds this map directly into the shop and links the customer’s choice to the entire dispatch process on the seller’s side. As a result, an order with a collection point is turned into a ready-to-dispatch parcel without the need to manually re-enter data. Let customers choose a Parcel Locker straight from their basket and allow yourself to dispatch parcels in one go from the dashboard!
Websystems Pro with InPost – in a nutshell:
-
Map in basket - Geowidget allows customers to select a Parcel Locker or Parcel Point without having to enter the locker’s address.
-
Integration via the ShipX API - To get started, you’ll need an Access Token and an Organisation ID from the Package Manager.
-
Test mode - The Sandbox environment verifies that the integration is correct prior to the production release.
-
Bulk labelling and courier services - Waybills are generated in bulk, and you can book a courier collection via the dashboard.
-
Statuses without questions - Parcel statuses are updated automatically, and customers can track their parcels via the InPost Mobile app.
What does the InPost integration with Websystems Pro enable?
The integration links the sales platform to InPost’s infrastructure, so the entire dispatch process takes place without having to switch between systems. The retailer manages orders within the system they already use to run their shop, whilst dispatch, labels and statuses are generated using data retrieved directly from the order. Information from the shopping basket is immediately transferred to the consignment note, because The connection automates the transfer of the recipient’s data.

The most obvious thing for the buyer is Geowidget interactive map embedded in the shopping basket. The customer selects an InPost Parcel Locker or PaczkoPunkt on the page, and the chosen location is automatically added to the order. On the seller’s side, the integration provides round-the-clock access to services, bulk parcel dispatch and label generation directly from the dashboard.
How integration streamlines online sales operations:
-
Selecting a collection point - The customer selects a Parcel Locker or Parcel Point on the map in their basket.
-
Recipient data transfer - The order details are printed onto the label without the need for manual transcription.
-
Bulk consignments - You can send parcels in batches and generate labels directly from the dashboard.
How do I obtain an Access Token and Organisation ID in the Package Manager?
Access Token i Organization ID You can download it from the Parcel Manager – the InPost parcel service where you have a sender account. For the integration to work correctly, you must have an active account on this service, as this is what authorises shipments within the operator’s network. Without this set of details, the sales platform cannot connect to InPost’s services.
Before you generate API access, please complete your full address details and invoicing details in your company profile. This information will subsequently appear on documents and when managing payments. Please note that Gaps in company data can prevent a token from being generated.
Where can I get the token and the organisation number?
Once you have logged in to the Parcel Manager, go to the section responsible for the API, where you can generate a personalised Access Token and view your unique Organisation ID. A token is an access key assigned to your account, whilst the organisation ID uniquely identifies the sender’s company. Keep both parameters safe, as together they authorise all shipments made under your customer number.
How do I configure the ShipX API in the admin panel?
The configuration simply involves entering authorisation keys in the admin panel Websystems Pro. In the integration settings, paste in the Access Token and Organisation ID – the details you retrieved earlier from the Parcel Manager. Once you have entered the token, the system connects to the sender’s account and confirms that it can dispatch parcels on behalf of your company.
The integration is based on the ShipX API, which is InPost’s modern programming interface for exchanging parcel data. Before you go live with production sales, make use of the Sandbox environment, i.e. the test mode. This will allow you to check that the integration is working correctly without incurring any real costs; confusing test mode with production mode is a common cause of errors at the outset.
What to bear in mind when configuring the plugin:
-
Authorisation details - Enter the Access Token and Organisation ID in the shop’s admin panel.
-
Test mode - In the Sandbox environment, you can test the integration without incurring any delivery costs.
-
Documentation and support - During implementation, you will have access to a technical description and support from an operator.
-
Switch to production - Once the tests have been successfully completed, you activate the configuration for live orders.
How do I set delivery methods and parcel dimensions?
You define the delivery methods in the shop dashboard by linking options visible to the customer relating to specific services offered by the operator. Most commonly, you’ll arrange for delivery via InPost courier to the specified address, or via a parcel locker, which the buyer selects on the map in their basket. In the delivery module, you can also set delivery charges based on the weight of the goods or the total value of the order, so that the delivery charges are calculated automatically.
You manage the dimension and weight templates separately, assigning InPost’s standard dimensions. Paczkomat parcel lockers come in three sizes, which means that Once a template has been set up, it is applied to subsequent mailings. Check the size breakdown before assigning them to your products.
Standard parcel dimensions for Paczkomat:
-
Dimension A - the smallest locker, for small, flat items.
-
Dimension B - an intermediate size, for medium-sized orders.
-
Dimension C - the largest locker, for larger parcels.
-
Weighing template - A pre-assigned weight speeds up the creation of the consignment.
-
InPost courier - delivery to an address for parcels that do not fit in postbox compartments.
-
Cash on delivery - the cash-on-delivery option is available for selected delivery methods.
How can you automate the generation of shipping labels?
Labels are generated directly from the order management panel, without having to log in to the operator’s external websites. This integration streamlines data editing and the bulk creation and printing of consignment documents, so shipping labels are generated automatically from the order data. The entire document workflow is managed in one place.
When you have a larger number of orders, bulk dispatch is the most efficient option. You select a batch of completed orders, and the system generates a set of labels for them in one go, which saves the seller a significant amount of time. This Bulk label generation and a single set of documents for the entire consignment significantly reduce the time spent on day-to-day dispatch processing.
How do I arrange for a courier to collect parcels?
Based on predefined rules, the integration allows you to automatically arrange for a courier to collect ready-to-ship parcels. A collection report – a summary confirmation of the handover of the parcels – is generated alongside the collection order. Please note that this ensures our courier receives a complete set of consignments, and you do not have to compile the documents manually at the end of the day.
How do automatic dispatch statuses and order tracking work?
Parcel statuses are updated automatically thanks to an automatic notification system which synchronises information between InPost and Websystems Pro in real time. Once a parcel has been dispatched, and as it progresses through the various stages of its journey, the order status in the dashboard is updated automatically without the need for manual intervention. Make sure, right from the start, that notifications are enabled, as these help relieve the support team of enquiries about parcels.
For the customer, it all starts in the shopping basket – they choose the collection point themselves, and the parcel’s status is sent to them without having to ask customer service. The label is generated from the order details, notifications are sent to the buyer automatically, and the buyer can track their parcel via the InPost Mobile app. The less manual work involved in dispatch, the more smoothly the whole shop runs – set up the integration and see for yourself!
